Happy New Year (December 31, 2009 - January 1, 2010

On Sunday, we headed back to Chattanooga, but we were minus Jake:( (His daycare was closed the week between Christmas & New Year's so he was hanging out with his grandparents that week.) But Robbie & I only had one day to be lonely, because on Tuesday, one of Robbie's best friends from collage (Robbie P.) and his wife (Denise) came to visit from Delaware:). They are such special friends and such wonderful people. We were so happy & excited for them to come!! We missed Jake greatly, but have to admit it was nice to go non-kid friendly restaurants again!

For New Year's Eve, since our other friends were child-free as well, we (the girls) decided we wanted us to all go to a nice dinner. TN had to screwed it up by having their bowl game played on that night. So, we had to make our dinner reservation for 5:00! Early bird special!! At least with the early time slot, we did get a private room!

Left to Right:Andy & Margaret, Zach & Kimberly, Robbie & me, and Robbie P. & Denise. (Zach, Robbie B. & Robbie P. all went to McCallie together. Andy, Margaret, Zach & Kimberly all went to TN together.) Great circle of friends!!

After dinner, we all went to Zach & Kimberly's to watch the TN game & ring in the new year. We were also joined by 2 other couples. Happy New Year!!

We played a joke on Chris & Allie who are engaged to be married in May. (Neither of them are into the sappy wedding stuff.) We told them it was a surprise wedding shower which included lots of shower games. First they had to open a few gifts.
Robbie P. & Denise gave them a picture of the spot on the golf course where Chris proposed.
The boys gave Chris a Wii. Of course we told them the shower was a joke (along with the tissue corsage) & no games had to be played. I don't think that they were fooled, but at least they got to keep the gifts!
