Happy Birthday Robbie Page!

Friday, April 24th was Robbie's best friend, Robbie Page's 30th birthday. We decided to take Jake on his first airplane ride & go up to Delaware to surprise him at his birthday party. I'm not sure how surprised he was, but we did have a great time!! Friday night we went to Robbie's surprise birthday party. On Saturday we went to Chesapeake Bay. It was such a beautiful area and a beautiful day! On Saturday night Robbie's mom & dad cooked out & had everyone over. They are such a wonderful family and always a blast! Robbie, Denise & their family are such wonderful friends who we only wished lived closer so we could see each other more often!

Jake did really good on the airplane. We planned a little better on the plane ride back & adjusted his schedule so he fed & slept on the plane.

Jake - 4 Months

Jake turned 4 months old on Friday, April 24. He had his 4 month checkup the day before. He weighs 17 lbs. and is 25 inches long. His doctor was very concerned because Jake was so underweight. He accused me of not feeding him. HA! As you can tell by the pictures, Jake has never missed a meal. The doctor did assure me though that Jake's weight was nothing to worry about. I was a chunk too the first few months of life, but then my weight evened off. I'm hoping the same goes for Jake. If not, the poor thing is going to be wearing 24-month size clothes by the time he is 6 months old! (He is already up to size 9-month clothing.) Things he loves - eating, taking baths, being tickled under the arm & sleeping. Things he does not love - when you wake him before he gets in all of his stretching & making him go longer than 3 hours during the day without food (Thankfully that is only during the day! He is still sleeping through the night.) Here are some pictures to catch up...

Sorry that the picture in this video is so dark. In the video you can hear Jake "talking".

Weekend

It was a crazy busy weekend, but we got to visit with so many good friends, it was worth it!! Over the weekend our good friends Travis & Paulette were married. Robbie was in the wedding, so we had a packed weekend. The rehearsal dinner Friday night was a blast, the wedding on Saturday was beautiful & we all had such a great time at the reception Saturday night! Robbie P. & Denise came down for the wedding from DE & Chad & Melanie came up from Auburn. Two of my sorority sisters from Troy just happened to be in Chattanooga this weekend, so I got to meet up with them & introduce them to Jake. To top it off, Sunday was mine & Robbie's anniversary. (More about that to come later!) Thank you also to Robbie's parents who came up to watch Jake. Since it was our anniversary, Robbie & I decided to stay downtown for the weekend. I figured that it would be nice for Robbie & I, plus I could get used to spending the night away from Jake, while still being in the same town. He did great, but his fat little cheeks got extra kisses from me missing him!

Happy Easter!

Robbie's parents (Mimi & Granddad) were in Chattanooga this weekend for Easter. They watched Jake on Good Friday since his school was closed. They also babysat Saturday night so that Robbie & I could have an early anniversary dinner. We cheered Phil on during the Master's and then enjoyed a beautiful Easter Sunday.

This is not actually Jake's Easter outfit. He made it through church & lunch, but at the end of lunch he had a major blowout. It was his worse so far. It was puddled in his car seat. No one warned me that breastfed babies poop was basically liquid. I don't know what else we can do to stop the leaks. I'm going to start putting a plastic bag around his diaper.
The flash on the camera goes off right before I take Jake's picture, so he always looks like a deer in headlights
Looking at his Easter basket (Robbie hates the bunny ears. I think they look funny. Jake will probably kill me when he is older!)

Catching Up

Ready for school
Robbie was out of town at a bachelor party, so my parents came up for the weekend. Jake had such a good time with them!
He is very interested in what Nana is saying
On Saturday we drove down to Atlanta to see my sister Lindsey & her husband Brooks. They just put a contract on a house in Atlanta, so we went down to see it. And then we got to go shopping. Jake loves his Aunt Lindsey!
