Week in Review - Playground & Week Before Easter

With Easter this weekend and then the kids & I are going out of town next week for spring break, so I figured I better go ahead & update the blog.

This is how I feel about Monday's too

It was a beautiful afternoon, so after Jake got home from school we headed to the park

Hollon insisted on bringing this little white stuffed lamb

And then she'd just drop it in the mulch

She LOVED the slides

She was worn out that night

And because I love a comparison picture, here are both Jake & Hollon at 18M
I wish I could have gotten a picture of Hollon sleeping on her back,
but it was a miracle for me to just be able to take a picture without her waking up
The next morning, Hollon carried around my old baby doll all morning

On Tuesday, Jake had their 2nd baseball game of the season. Sister had to hang out in the dugout with me until Mimi & Granddad got there. (Which, I just want to take a moment to thank the Bush's from the bottom of my heart. They come to every single sporting event that Jake participates in. Football wasn't too bad, as there was only one game a week. But baseball usually has 2-3 games a week. They come to them all. And let me tell you, if you've seen one 7/8-year-old baseball game, you've basically seen them all. But it means a lot to Jake that they come and he loves that he has a large cheering section. And this year, they have been a complete jewel, as they usually get stuck volunteer to be on Hollon entertainment duties since Robbie is coaching and I help in the dugout. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mimi & Granddad!!)

This year, Jake has been playing pitcher (it is coach pitch, he is not actually pitching!). But this game, we had a few kids out sick, so Jake played 3rd base.

He got a hit every time up to bat this game! Go Jake!!
Wednesday, before I got Hollon ready for school, I was upstairs doing some work. I turned around to look at her, and she had gotten a hold of the tissue box and pulled out almost all of the tissues. When I asked her what she was doing, she roared at me.

Tissues all cleaned up and now ready for school

Wednesday afternoon, after Jake got home from school, I took the kids to see the Easter bunny. I'll include those pictures with Easter recap, but lets just say Hollon was not a fan.

Afterwards, I treated the kids to some chick-fil-a before we had to take Jake to batting practice.

It's Thursday!

Silly girl

Hollon was sitting in her tailgate chair pretending to drink out of a cup. She would pretend to drink, put it down and then say "ahhhhhh".

Hollon wore this outfit as a dress last year and a tunic this year

Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Week in Review - Baseball, St. Patrick's Day & Baths

My favorite time of the year. For just a few weeks, the trees leading up to the main entrance to our neighborhood are in full white bloom.
(I was stopped at a stop sign)
On Monday, Jake had baseball practice

After we got home, Hollon tried convincing us that she was going to sleep on her ottoman. She kept pulling the blanket over her and telling us night-night.

It's Tuesday!

Ride and Die Eat

Playing with chalk waiting on brother to get home
Wednesday & ready for school

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I got the kids some green sugar cookies as an after school treat for St. Patrick's Day. Jake kept thinking that a leprechaun brought them.

Hollon enjoyed it
18 months of cute little features

One of Hollon's favorite things is baths

She loves to splash

And comb her hair
Jake & Hollon both at 18M

And now it's Friday

Wearing brother's sunglasses (even though it was raining outside) waiting on him to get home.

On Saturday, it was opening day at the ball park. The morning ceremony was cancelled due to rain, but thankfully the rain was out in time for Jake's team to play their first game.

That evening, we hung out on the patio. Jake had all of his Star Wars figures all set up and Hollon kept disrupting them.
