Happy Birthday Jake (December 24, 2009)

On Thursday, December 24, we had a small family birthday party for Jake at my parent's home in Prattville. Mimi, Granddad, Great Granddad Jake, GG Kathy & cousin Jackson all came as well. So much fun celebrating the little guy's birthday. We never want Jake to feel short changed his birthday being the day before Christmas. (Of course if you are going to almost share a birthday, who better than with Jesus!!) Below are pictures from the day. Happy Birthday Jake!

Birthday morning!

Gran giving him his birthday breakfast

Decor from the party. (Warning: you will see the same party decor, just in a different color scheme and monkeys, elephants & lions replacing the reindeer at his Chattanooga birthday party!)

Christmas book for Jake for guests to sign

Great Granddad Jake & Baby Jake

Cousin Marrell ready for the party to get started

Cousin Jackson helping Jake open gifts

Granddad gave Jake a Troy football signed by Troy head football coach, Coach Blakeney. Granddad & Coach Blakeney were friends while at school at Auburn. Go Troy Trojans! (Where I went to school!)

Not sure if he was scared from our singing or from me making him wear the hat

At first he was scared to touch the cake

Cousin Maddox feeding him a little

We were about to take it away when he got more comfortable with it

So we let him continue

And continue

And continue

By this point he was very comfortable

Crying when we took it away (he had eaten almost all of the icing off). We didn't want him to get an upset stomach!
