Weeks in Review - End of Year Parties and Last Day of School

Last week, I was in Chattanooga for the week for work. It could not have come at a worse time. May is crazy with end of the year activities, but, thankfully we have AWESOME grandparents to step in and help!

Hollon had her last day of Mother's Day Out.

Her teacher was retiring, so our little class threw her a retirement party

Ms. Donna is absolutely precious, and I'm so thankful that we got her before she retired! She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Hollon only had MDO 2 days the week I was gone, so she stayed with the Bush's most of the week. They would come over to the house to be here when Jake would get off the bus until Robbie came home from work. They brought Hollon over one of those days and she was so excited to see brother!

Jake's baseball team had their end of the season party at Air Jump

First place trophy!

Once a month, Robbie takes Jake out for breakfast before school. Last one of this school year!

This week was Jake's last week of school. On Wednesday, they had their end of the year party.

The room mom giving Ms. Goolsby her end of the year present from the kids. It was a notebook of letters they wrote to her.

This was such a good little class and an amazing teacher

Hollon wanted to play in the rain a little bit and I wanted her to break in new shoes. So Jake was a sweet brother and played outside with her.

We had friends spend Wednesday night with us on their way down to the beach. They gave Hollon some of their daughters old princess gowns. Needless to say, Hollon is in love.

Thursday was Jake's last day of school!

That afternoon I took the kids to get haircuts. Jake getting a haircut at age 2.5 was horrible. He would cry, wiggle, move his head, insist on playing with toys. Not Hollon. She sat like a statue the entire time. She had the most serious look on her face. It was cracking us all up.

And that's a wrap on the 2016-2017 school year! It has been a great year. Both kids were in great classes with awesome teachers that matched up perfectly with their personalities. They learned a lot, made new friends, and are now finished with 2nd grade & 2K.

Now on to summer, vacation and camps!
