Week in Review - Supporting Cousin Maddox!

On Monday (a week ago), Hollon turned 5 months old!

Last week, she getting close to reaching her feet

2 little bottom teeth

The only age where chunky thighs and cankles are cute

Her favorite way to sleep in the swing

We are going to Disney this month and Hollon will be staying behind with my parents. I'm worried about her, because she is just a little attached to mama. So I went down Friday night to spend the night and let Hollon spend the day with my parents on Saturday, to get familiar with them and where she will be staying. I planned it for that weekend, because Friday night, my oldest niece Maddox was in a beauty pageant. She looked beautiful and I'm so glad that Hollon and I got to be there. (Side note: I didn't bring Jake, because I wanted Hollon to get familiar with my parents without family there. I told Jake that I was just going to see Maddox do a girl thing. I told him if he went it would be like going to a Barbie party. (He HATES anything Barbie.) He was still crushed and I felt bad. Thankfully Robbie planned some fun stuff for him & Jake to do while Hollon & I were gone.)
Marrell didn't want to be in the pageant, so she entertained us during intermission

My sweet beautiful niece Maddox
Saturday, I spent time over at my Aunt Deborah's house while Hollon hung out with my parents. My Aunt Deborah is an amazing sewer and monogrammer. (Which according to spell check, mongrammer is not a word. Oh well, it is in my book.) I wanted to watch her work to learn how to monogram and applique better. After my lesson, we went to watch Maddox play in her basketball game. She scored her first basket of the season and made a free throw. Way to go Maddox!!
Hollon was so proud of her big cousin
Afterwards, we went out to eat. Hollon sat in her carrier in a high chair at a table with just Maddox and Marrell. Hollon laughed the whole time. I know she is just 5 months, but I really do feel  like she knew she was sitting with the big girls. I hope Hollon always looks up to them and they can be big sisters/little mamas to her.

Back home Saturday night and ready for bed

Ready for church the next morning in the dress Granddad Jake & GG Kathy got her for Christmas

This picture makes me laugh every time. Got her belly hanging out, bloomers clinching her tummy and tights falling down. So hard being a woman.
