Hollon Elizabeth - 5 Months

5 Months Old Recap:
Likes: Her favorite thing is still for anyone to look at her, talk to her, laugh at her. She loves any and all attention. She adores her brother. When he walks into the room, she just lights up. She loves baths, eating, music, looking outside, being held.
Dislikes: Being left alone.
Milestones: She ate cereal (1/9) and rolled over (1/19)!
Schedule: We are finally on a schedule (for the first half of the day). Hollon eats, then plays, then sleeps every 3 hours. She usually has her first full feeding at 7:00am, goes down for a nap at 8:00. Eats again at 10:00, goes down for a nap 11:00. She eats again at 1:00 before we go get brother from school. Once we get back, she'll eat at 4:00, but she isn't consistent on when she takes her last nap.
Sleep: During the day, Hollon usually goes down for her nap an hour after she eats. While she is consistent at what time she goes down for those first 2 naps, it is not consistent how long she will sleep. Sometimes she'll only sleep for 20 minutes, sometimes she'll sleep for 2 hours, right up until her next feeding. She usually goes to bed between 8:00-9:30 after her last feeding of the night. She sleeps until 3:00 or 5:00 in the morning. She sleeps in a sleep sack or a swaddle (we don't swaddle her arms though). She sleeps with her luvee and a pacifier, even though the pacifier usually falls out pretty quickly. After Hollon's 4 month checkup, her pediatrician suggested we feed her cereal at dinner and give her some vitamin D. It seems to have helped, Hollon isn't getting up at 2:00 as much. (I don't dare say she is completely over that, because she will still randomly once a week get up in the middle of the night.)
Eat: Hollon usually wakes up between 3:00-5:00 and I give her a quick 5 minute feeding. I should probably ignore her and make her go back to sleep, but honestly it is easier and quicker just to get her & feed her real quick. Plus then, she usually just sleeps in our bed after that and I love the extra snuggles. She has her first full feeding at 7:00 and then she eats every 3 hours after that except her last feeding of the day. She has cereal at 7:00 and then I feed her the last feeding sometime between 8:00-9:30. Hollon LOVES cereal. We plan to start her on baby food once she is 6 months. I am so excited because I think she is going to love it. She already starts laughing and giggling as soon as she sees the spoon.
Appearance: I cannot figure out her hair. She still has her dark patches that didn't fall out. Sometimes the new hair coming in looks light, and other times it looks dark. Her rolls are starting to become more defined. I just love those chunky thighs!
Size: She can still wear a size 2 diaper, but I went ahead & started buying size 3. 3-6 months clothing is starting to fit snug. Anything I'm buying for this winter, I'm buying 9 months and anything for summer I'm buying 12 months.
