Week in Review - Week Before Christmas Break / Class Parties

I bought Jake a gingerbread house for us to put together.

Unfortunately, evidently, $2 Aldi gingerbread houses do not stick together well. The house kept falling apart. So Jake and I went to use the iPad to see if we could find something else to keep the walls together.

While we were gone, we came back to this....
....Hollon taking big bite chunks our of a wall.

So we gave up and I just let the kids decorate all the pieces and not worry about building a house.

One of my very favorite things about Christmas, is watching the kids play with the Little People nativity.

Both kids playing with the same nativity scene around the same age

Ready for the last week of school before Christmas break!

She got a new Peppa Pig book that has stickers. She has been obsessed.

Every morning she hides behind this chair and makes me "look" for her
After school gingerbread house reject snack

See, obsessed with the stickers

Performing for us before bed time

I had put the iPad in our bedroom and shut the door. Hollon was NOT happy.

So..... no more pictures this morning

I had a holiday party with some of the girls from the neighborhood

We made gifts for our MDO friends

And gifts for teachers and staff

Ready for day 1 of Mother's Day Out Christmas parties

Hollon scratched her face and kept picking at the scab. So we had to put a band-aide over it.

This is her "mad" face & pose

I heard her in the kitchen one night and walked in to find that she had pulled a stool up to the counter and was trying to get something down.

Realizing she had been caught

Day 2 of MDO Christmas Parties

Hollon with her teacher Ms. Donna

Jake's class had their Christmas party on Friday too.

Jake's note to Santa. He asked for him to bring Hollon the Peppa Pig school, makeup for me, cash for dad and a nerf gun for him.

Jake with his amazing teacher Ms. Goolsby
Ms. Goolsby gave each of the kids some "ice" from the North Pole. They have to keep it in the freezer. Jake is very excited and takes it very serious.

After class parties, we took Jake to get his hair cut. They have a message chair. I turned it on while Hollon was sitting in it. She wouldn't get out! She sat there so serious.
