Hollon Elizabeth - 12 Months

12 Months Old Recap:
Likes: iPhone, eating, attention, being held, chairs, drinking water from a cup, purses, pulling books off the bookshelf, combs
Dislikes: When you take the iPhone from her or do not hold her when she wants to be held. Drinking milk from a sippy cup.
Milestones: She has taken up to 5 steps unassisted. She is very wobbly. She gets so excited once she starts walking, that she usually looses her balance and falls. No longer eating pureed food, eating finger foods now.
Sleep: Wakes up around 6:00. Takes a 2 hour morning nap and 2 hour afternoon nap. This will have to adjust once she starts Mother's Day Out. Usually goes to bed around 8:00. Holds her ear when he is sleepy and while sleeping. Sleeps with a pacifier but doesn't get upset if it falls out.
Eat: Eating finger foods. So far, I can't find any foods she doesn't like. Trying to get her to start drinking cow's milk. I first I thought she didn't like it, but we've since discovered that she just doesn't like it out of a sippy cup. But she will drink it from a bottle. Unfortunately, the only bottles we have use infant nipples. Because she doesn't need to be drinking out of a bottle anyway, I refuse to waste money and buy toddler nipples for a bottle. So now I am on the search for a sippy cup that she will drink milk out of. I am weaning her off breast-milk.
Appearance: Her hair is getting longer and is starting to lay down. It is very straight and very fine. It is a light brown/dirty blond. Big blue eyes. At her 12 month checkup, she was in the 50th percentile for weight & height.
Size: 6-12M clothing. Can still wear some 6M clothing and can wear up to 18M clothing in some outfits. Size 4 shoe. Size 3 in diapers.
Talking: Lots of jabbering, but it is hard to make out any words. Only consistent words she will say are ma-ma, da-da, bye-bye, hi there, no mam and night-night. She says "brother", but it comes out "bro-der" and she yells it.
Movement: Initially was just taking a few steps unassisted. Each day she gets sturdier & sturdier and walk a little further. She can walk across a room now. Can walk a good bit if holding on to something. Very fast crawler. Loves to climb up stairs, but can't figure out how to go down them. She will dance a little bit (bouncing up & down) if music comes on.
