On Saturday, the February 6th, we had Jake's birthday party to celebrate him turning 7 back in December. He wanted a laser tag birthday party, so we had his party at our local Game Zone. Long gone are the days of his birthday parties having coordinating decor, a matching banner and cute card menu tags. All he cares about is if his friends are there and are they doing something fun. It makes me sad, because it is such a reminder that he is growing up, but it is a whole lot easier of a party to throw!

I wanted to get a good picture of all of the boys in their laser tag gear, but it was way too dark. None of the pictures showed up. So I took pictures of sister waiting outside the arena.
After one round of laser tag, the boys stopped for pizza.
Jake requested a donut cake.
Singing Happy Birthday
Sister was very excited about the donut cake
And very excited that Gran let her eat the entire thing
Our friends from Chattanooga came down for the party. Addie didn't want to play laser tag and Tyler was too young. So they played in the game room while the boys played laser tag.
Gran letting Hollon walk up and down the skee ball game
The closest thing I could get to a group picture after their 2nd round of laser tag. It was impossible to even get pictures of Jake with his friends, because they were all too busy running around playing the games. Any time I would try to take a picture, they would act like I was cutting off a limb. So I backed off and just let them do their thing. (Which was running around yelling, playing games and making fart noises. You know, cool things like that.)
It was a great birthday party and Jake had an awesome time with his friends!
