Halloween + 2015 Football Season Week 9

Robbie's best friend from high school, Robbie Page comes down one weekend every fall and spends the weekend with us in Auburn. This year, he came for Halloween Weekend / Ole Miss Game. He got into town Friday afternoon and when Jake got out of school, we headed down to Auburn.
Mimi, Granddad, Jake & Hollon

Game Day!

Same outfits, just one year later.
(Can I just say that we are in a good place with clothes. Jake can finally wear clothes at least 2 years in a row [as a baby, he was so big and grew so fast, he could never wear anything 2 seasons in a row]. And Hollon. I don't know if it is because she is short and on the small side, or just because she is a girl, so she can wear it as a dress one year and a top another. It is so nice to not be outgrowing clothes in the middle of the first season you wear it!)

Since the game was at 11:00, I stayed back int he RV with the kids. I just knew Hollon would go down for a nap once everyone left for the game and then I could get things ready for the tailgate. She slept for about 20 minutes and then was up ready to go. NOT.MY.PLAN.
Last year we just hemmed the pants a little so she could wear them.
This year, I took the hem out and was too lazy to iron the crease out.
The size tag in this outfit is 3M. What?!?

Jake was excited for his friends to arrive. Since the game was early, we hosted the tailgate afterwards.

This week was our turn to host with 2 other couples. I got the great idea to make a kids drink. It was supposed to be sprite with a frozen ice hand in it and some other body parts. I was going to drop a few dots of green food coloring into the glove to freeze for my ice hand. Suddenly a big blob comes out. I had green food coloring EVERYWHERE. Then it started leaking from the glove and got all in the freezer. I put it in a ziplock bag overnight. On Saturday, I go to get it out and once again get green dye all over my hands. You know what doesn't come off easily? Green food coloring. Do you know who my hands looked like? The Hulk. I put my green ice hand in the sprite and it turns the entire drink dark green. So you couldn't even see the ice hand or the other body parts! PINTEREST.FAIL!

And of course there was a lot of this
Hollon of course finally goes down for a nap at the end of the 4th quarter, within an hour of when everyone would be showing up for the tailgate. She slept for about an hour or two, but when she got up, she was burning hot with a fever. Yikes. I gave her some Tylenol. The fever went down quickly, but all afternoon, you could tell she didn't feel good.

And then it was Halloween night! Ready for trick-or-treating in the RV field.
Cute little strawberry, even if she didn't feel the greatest

Then there was our Luke Skywalker

Sweet Hill kept calling Hollon his baby

She would not leave the hat on

Hill kept trying to put it on her head

Our tailgate group kids only has 2 girls!

Most of the kids in our group are boys, but they sure do take care of Hollon

Ready to go trick-or-treating

Jake was more excited about handing out candy to other kids at the RV. (For each piece he gave out, I think he ate a piece himself.)

Now that he is getting older, he has different chores he has to help dad with at the RV. One of his jobs is to help roll up the carpets.

Meanwhile, sister was ready for bed
She found an iPad

Just being nosy
Sunday, Hollon wakes up and has a horrible rash all around her mouth.
Hello Hand/Foot/Mouth virus.
More to come on that later.....
