Four Year Old Recap:
Likes: makeup, dresses, princesses,iPad, singing, gymnastics, playing with friends, figurines, tea parties, dressing up, Barbie, swimming, having her nails painted, tapping shoes (what she calls high heels)
Dislikes: pants, shorts, when I make her wear a shirt with a dress, socks, if her bow is too big, waking up early, sleeping in her bed, any kind of bug
Sleep: We have struggled with sleep since she was a baby. We did everything the same as we did we Jake, but their outcomes were completely different. So then we tried all new techniques, and we still struggle. I've just come to realize that some kids are great sleepers and some are not. Our biggest challenge is getting her to stay in her bed. Anytime between 11:00-4:00 if she wakes up, she wants to come to our bed. We've tried lots of different methods trying to get her to stay in her bed. Nothing has worked consistently. I've come to just accept it and figure that there are a million worse things then her crawling into our bed at 3 in the morning to snuggle. And I just pray that she has grown out of it before she leaves for college! Hollon is like me and is a night owl. We cut out naps to see if that would help her sleep better at night (it didn't). We aim for a 8:00 bedtime (some nights we make it, other nights, not so much). She gets out of bed no less than 10 times before she finally falls asleep. She is always coming up with creative questions to ask or things to request before she can go to bed. So it usually takes her around 45 minutes to actually fall asleep. She definitely doesn't like to wake up early in the mornings.
Eat: For the most part, she is a good, typical 4-year-old eater. She dislikes all of the normal things that most 4 year olds hate, and she loves the foods that most 4 year old like. She only drinks milk or water. (She doesn't like juice)
Size: Size 4 in clothes and size 9 in shoes
Personality: Her personality is all girl. She loves all things girly. Make up, painted nails, dressing up. She can be very dramatic and when the sass comes out, it is fierce. She is independent but loves to help you if you are doing something "grown-ups" do.
FAVORITES:
Books: Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes, Princess books
Songs: She loves the song "The Middle", any songs from any of the Disney princess movies, songs they sing in music class at school and church
Toys: Her princess castle and princess figurines
Movies: Any of the Disney princess movies (Are you noticing a theme? She LOVES princesses)
TV Shows: Barbie's Life in the Dreamhouse, Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol
Food: Chicken nuggets, fries, cheese pizza, gummies, squeeze applesauce, fruit, mac and cheese, goldfish, ice cream, cookies
